Student Update for Cañada College, CSM, and Skyline College

Student Update #3

March 15, 2020

Dear Students,

Here is update for all students at Cañada College, College of San Mateo, and Skyline College.

As a reminder, all face-to-face classes are canceled on Monday, March 16 (except online classes, which will continue as scheduled).

CAMPUS RESTRICTIONS
Students should not come to campus. This is due to the transition to online and distance education. Offices and student services (such as SparkPoint, EOPS, health centers, international student offices, and all others) will not be available.

INSTRUCTION MOVING ONLINE MARCH 17
All classes that were formerly face-to-face classes will resume on Tuesday, March 17, as online classes. Please check your email frequently for communications from your instructor regarding the specifics of how your class is moving online.

Please note: If you were already taking an online class, that class will continue uninterrupted.

NEW ONLINE EDUCATION WEBSITE
We will be launching a new “virtual campus” website soon. This website will provide online education resources and information on how to access student services online.

MONITOR YOUR EMAIL
Please monitor your District email (my.smccd.edu) constantly for updates regarding this rapidly developing situation. We will be providing further guidance as the offices of instruction and student services develop online processes and procedures during this time.
