Emergency Notifications

for College of San Mateo, Cañada College and Skyline College

All face-to-face classes canceled today beginning at 3 pm at Cañada, CSM and Skyline

Due to AQI in the UNHEALTHY range in San Bruno, San Mateo and Redwood City, all face-to-face classes that are scheduled to meet today/tonight at 3:00 pm or later are canceled at Cañada College, College of San Mateo and Skyline College. San Mateo Athletic Club (SMAC) is also closed today.

Drive-Up Wi-Fi service for students and other campus operations are open as planned.

Most classes and student services are being held online or remotely this semester, due to COVID-19. All classes that are scheduled to meet online/remotely will also continue to take place as planned. 

All essential employees who are required to work on campuses today should still come to work. N95 respirators are recommended when working outdoors in these conditions.

All campuses are expected to open for COVID-limited operations at 5:30 am on Saturday, Oct. 3. Any further closures will be announced via email and text message to students and employees.

Emergency Food Distribution and San Mateo Athletic Club are closed today

Due to poor air quality, the SMCCCD Emergency Food Distribution will be canceled on Friday, Oct. 2. The San Mateo Athletic Club will be closed. Face-to-face classes at CSM, Cañada and Skyline College will take place as scheduled and all other campus operations will continue.

Anyone who needs food today can call 1-800-984-3663 or visit shfb.org for information on other food pickup sites.

District officials are monitoring air quality and could make additional changes later today.
