Due to the continued power outage from inclement weather, Cañada College is closed for the remainder of March 22, 2023 (today) for in-person classes and campus operations due to power outage from inclement weather.

Essential employees (Facilities, Public Safety, ITS) are to report to work. Employees and students, work remotely/online during regularly scheduled hours, if possible.

We will reevaluate in-person courses and business operations that take place on campus tomorrow, Thursday, March 23, 2023 and will deliver any further closure notices by 9 p.m. tonight, March 22, 2023.

Cañada College morning in-person classes and business operations are closed until at least 5 p.m. on March 22, 2023 due to the continued power outage from inclement weather.

Essential employees (Facilities, Public Safety, ITS) are to report to work. Employees and students, work remotely/online during regularly scheduled hours, if possible.

We will reevaluate in-person courses and business operations that take place on campus this evening, Wednesday, March 22, 2023 and will deliver any further closure notices by 12 p.m./noon today, March 22, 2023.

Cañada College morning in-person classes and business operations are closed until at least 12 p.m. on March 22, 2023 due to the continued power outage from inclement weather.

The Cañada campus is closed for in-person classes and business operations due to power outage from inclement weather. The campus community should evacuate campus immediately in a calm and safe manner.

Employees and students, work remotely/online during regularly scheduled hours, if possible.

We will continue to assess the campus and update with information as it becomes available.  

UPDATE 3/15/23 at 6:45 a.m.

Due to the continued power outage from inclement weather, Cañada College will remain closed until at least 5 p.m. on March 15, 2023 for in-person classes and business operations.

Essential employees (Facilities, Public Safety, ITS) are to report to work. Employees and students, work remotely/online during regularly scheduled hours, if possible.

We will reevaluate evening in-person courses and business operations that take place on campus between 5 p.m. and 10:30 p.m. and will deliver any further closure notices by 1 p.m.

UPDATE 3/14 at 2:25 p.m. – College of San Mateo, Cañada College and Skyline College afternoon and evening in-person classes and campus operations closed for all of March 14, 2023. Plan to resume normal operations for tomorrow, March 15.
